At the time I became a member of First Congregation Church my wife, Bonnie, was attending St. Michaels Catholic Church. In time felt like wanted to get back to attending church services. I was raised Presbyterian, and since there are none in the immediate area, I decided to attend various churches in the area and The First Congregational is the closest to where we were living at the time. After attending one service it was decided that I had found a new church family. A few years later, Bonnie joined upon the birth of our son Jon so that we all would be together. Now all this time later, serving on various boards and committees, attending special events we feel confident that we made the correct choice

My friend and I joined as members a year later. I enjoy being on the tech company and running the live stream on occasion.
I have been a member since 1988 when I first moved to East Longmeadow with my three young sons. I found the members very friendly and welcoming. I have since served as a Sunday school teacher, Mission & Outreach and now serve as Clerk and a Deacon.

As a long time resident of East Longmeadow I knew many of the members of 1st Church prior to my first visit. Much to my delight I was warmly welcomed by not only those old friends but by the entire congregation. This congregation is committed to meeting the needs of it’s members, the East Longmeadow community and far beyond. I cannot think of an area of ministry that these dedicated members and staff don’t strive to fulfil.
