The congregation assists with the Annual “Tree Lighting” in the Center. Usually held on the first Friday evening in December and begins at 6:00 pm. The tree is lit around 6:30, followed by a visit by Santa and cookies and cocoa in the church hall.

The event attracks hundreds of people from the area for a lighted truck parade and tree lighting in the center of town (put on by the local Lions Club) and ends with adults and children coming inside our hall for cocoa and cookies and a visit with Santa!

Many members of the congregation help to gather the large quantity of cookies and cocoa necessary to feed hundreds of people who come to see the parade and tree lighting

The event involves a lot of volunteers, but none are more anticipated than Santa and Mrs. Clause. Santa gets to meet with each little one while parents take a Christmas time photo.
